In the last four on 23 April, Intervi bidding to become the first side to successfully defend the title since their Spanish rivals Playas de Castelln FS won the opening editions in 2001/02 and 2002/03 meet Araz, a side made up of much of the Azerbaijan squad that reached the last four of January's UEFA European Futsal Championship.That match will be followed by the encounter between hosts SL Benfica and Italy's Luparense C/5.
Like Araz, both are their nation's first representatives in the one-venue four-team finals, which began in 2007, though Benfica lost to Intervi in the two-legged decider six years ago.
